CU Baseball School Grades 6-8 (Day Camp ) Check-in will be Monday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center. Please look for postings to help make this time easier and more convenient for all. Parents, we will register your child as quickly as possible so that you are able to get to work on time. The day camp will begin at 8:30am the rest of the week. Each day we will have fundamental and individual skill work in the mornings. Typical afternoons will focus on team defensive work and situational baseball and generally will end around 3:30PM at which time you may leave for home. Capoiera THURS (grades 3-8) - University City Arts League
Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance and music. It was created in Brazil mainly by descendants of African slaves with Brazilian native influences. It is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power, speed, and leverage for leg sweeps. Students work on physical coordination, group awareness, and communication. Students are recommended ( but not required) to take both the Monday and Thursday classes to get the most out of this program.
