Send a Kid to Camp Phone Bank - undefined, undefined
Greetings, friends! We want you to be a part of the Fox 61 “Send a Kid to Camp” Phone Bank, benefiting Hartford’s Camp Courant. The Phone Bank will air live from Fox 61 and WCCT (CW) on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 beginning from 9a.m. to 10a.m. and then returning from 4p.m. to 7p.m. Your support of this campaign will help Hartford’s Camp Courant and Fox 61 further their missions to support education-based programs for children throughout the greater Hartford community. Our goal is to raise $100,000 during the live four-hour televised fundraiser, which will help to enhance the summer experience for nearly 1,000 Hartford children this year. We have a long standing, aligned and focused partnership with Fox 61 who is dedicated to making a positive difference. Everything they do in the community will link directly to their mission of HOPE (Helping Organizations Promote Education) where they will focus their resources to maximize impact. FOX 61 builds bridges between Connecticut companies, nonprofit organizations, citizens and leaders to cultivate collaborative partnerships to inform, educate and inspire their viewers. Kid's Fun Day at Camp Clay! - Van Wert, OH
Hey Kids! On Thursday, July 14 we're sponsoring a fun kid's day at Camp Clay. Admission is $2 and that includes admission to the aqua park and splash pad + FREE sunscreen station + FREE snacks + FREE bottled water. We'll also have a pool noodle obstacle course set up for you to try. If you complete it, you can get your name on the leader board and be eligible to win cool prizes!

Kid's Camp: Quilt 2016 - Laramie, WY
Come join other young quilters and make some new friends. Participants will complete a quilt top in this one day class using a simple pattern. Age 10 and up and must own and know how to operate their own sewing machine. Registration fee is $60 (includes fabric and pattern).

This camp will focus on the fundamentals of form, chipping, putting, driving and body positioning. To assist in this training, Skyhawks has adopted the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system to its curriculum. SNAG is specifically designed for the entry-level player; SNAG simplifies instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. The Counselors presence at camp is an integral part of the summer camp experience for everyone. Ideally, we are looking for dynamic individuals who share a passion for camp, a love of working and who are seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus. It is important to keep in mind that this job in its simplest form is servant leadership. It is tiring, sometimes trying, and our focus as staff should not be on ourselves but on our campers. As staff of Cathedral Ridge summer camps, we are also representatives of the Episcopal Church in Colorado, and are working in a ministry that many people believe to be incredibly important in our Diocese. While the job of a camp counselor is not for the weary, it can be a very rewarding and enlightening experience. K9 Training Camp - Humane Society of West Michigan
Sit, stay and come are just a few of the basic commands you will teach shelter dogs during this training camp. Learn basic and advanced obedience training while teaching shelter dogs basic cues. Trainers will practice positive reinforcement training and special skills. They will also perform further research in body language, behavior assessment and breed histories to create a long-term strategy for a shelter dog. 616-791-8066

PM Creatures of the Night 8/8 (ages 4-5) - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Learn the art of clay sculpture and create a fantastical ceramic nightlight. Youll combine your favorite parts of different animals (for example, an elephants trunk, a rabbits ears and a lizards tail) to form a magical, working night light to put on your nightstand. Summer BLAST! - 3 weeks - Oakwood
For children entering 2nd-6th grade: SUMMER BLAST! at Oakwood is an afternoon program designed to engage children in enriching, entertaining, and educational activities, and runs from 1:30–4:30 pm. Children may enroll in Summer BLAST! even if theyre not enrolled in the morning Summer Arts Academy program. If a child is enrolled in the morning Summer Arts Academy program, he/she will have a supervised lunchtime from 12:45–1:30 pm each day, and will need to bring a lunch. During the first session of the afternoon the children will be divided by age into two groups and will rotate between the two classes offered that week. During the second session students choose between Sports Club, Book Club, or Tennis Club. Students may enroll in one, two or all three weeks. The classes during the first session change each week.
