The High School Choir Camp is open to choral students who are entering grades 9, 10, 11, or 12. Intensive study of the upcoming All-State repertoire is the primary focus of this acclaimed program for high school singers. One set of the All-State audition music will be provided to each camper at no additional charge. **Students need not have previously been a member of a TMEA All-State choral ensemble. Professor James Morrow, Director of Choral Activities, and Professor Suzanne Pence, Professor of Choral Music Education, conduct. Junior Adventurers: Outdoor Explorers - Junior Adventurers!
Calling all junior adventurers for another summer of discoveries! In this half-day camp, your sons will enjoy all that The Heights campus has to offer. With beautiful stands of native tree species, numerous bird boxes, and a room full of past discoveries, there will be no lack for exciting new areas of learning. Two days will be dedicated to the animal kingdom – mammals, insects, reptiles and more. Another will focus on seeds and plants. – we cant live without them! Two days will also be devoted to experiments and discovery, bringing their knowledge to life. In the course of daily adventures around campus, campers will climb the trees theyve heard about and capture the insects theyve drawn. With a take-home booklet filled with artistic learning exercises, your son will be drawing on his discoveries from this camp for years to come! Put me in coach...Im ready to play! This camp will focus on baseball fundamentals and techniques from hitting, fielding, and throwing to base running and more. Camp will be conducted rain or shine. Parents will be provided with information on how to handle rain days on the first day of camp. Supplies: Campers should bring their own bat and glove, and a plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend campers use sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30. Player Evaluation Events are held to determine readiness/acceptance into the Elite Technique program. Elite Technique is a 40-week training program divided into four, 10-week Cycles (two, 10-week Fall programs and two, 10-week Spring programs). Fall sessions run from early August through mid-December; Spring sessions run from early January through mid-June. One training session per week for 1¼ hours per session. Cost = $185 for each 10-week Cycle (paid before the start of each 10-week cycle); players will also be required to purchase one Elite Technique training jersey for the program (~$25). You must register for the entire 40-week series – registration for individual Cycles is not an option. Players may withdraw from the program at the end of a Cycle and future Cycles will not be charged. Two levels of the RailHawks Elite Technique field-player program: Elite Technique PLATINUM: Comprised of high-level Classic players. New players must register/attend a Player Evaluation Event to determine readiness/acceptance into the ET-Platinum or ET-Gold program.
