Prepare for SAT success! In this rigorous, half-day camp, youll learn the form and style of the test--which was completely redesigned as of March 2016--as well as the essential content and strategies for approaching each question on the critical reading and writing portions of the SAT. You will learn how to recognize the types of questions asked on the reading passages, become a more critical reader, and identify the evidence on which your answers are based. For the writing section, we will review the most commonly tested grammar rules and skills as well as learn and practice what it takes to write an outstanding essay, which is now optional and follows a completely different format from the previous version of the SAT. Youll leave this camp with the confidence and skills to make your best score yet on critical reading and writing! (An SAT book will be provided.) June 27-30 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm each day. Registration Ends on June 22nd. Students will be taught the Healthy Hands Cooking program. Our classes will focus on healthy recipes for snacks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additional content will include kitchen safety skills, nutrition games, fun fitness activities, and more. Students will leave with the skills needed to work confidentially in the kitchen. This program is held for 3 hours a day over 4 days. Cost is $150 and includes a cookbook/workbook. Camp is limited to 10 students.
