Broadway Workshops Junior Excel Intensive is a 5-day program geared toward students ages 9-13 with an extremely strong passion for the performing arts. Junior Excel students will study the 3 disciplines of musical theatre in small groups. Students will prepare solo and small group pieces in preparation for our end of program production, where they will perform for a panel of New York agents, mangers and casting directors, as well as family and friends. Hear from students, families, dancers, and staff about new initiatives that will connect, engage, and empower youth and the wider Baltimore community. The Baltimore Dance Crews Project is excited to launch Spring Forward - a campaign to support BDCP youth. Our goal is to raise $20,000 between March 18th and May 14th for BDCP programs. Our soft lanuch is an opportunity to learn about BDCP and how to become a supporter. Southern Region Teen Leadership Conference - Crossville, TN
The Southern Region 4-H Teen Leadership Conference (SLTRC) is scheduled for September 24-27, 2015, at the Clyde M. York 4-H Center in Crossville. This event is open to senior 4-H members (9-12 grade as of January 1, 2015). SLTRC is an outstanding opportunity to help youth develop leadership skills, citizenship skills and help them find opportunities to put those skills to use in their community. The registration fee for this conference is $180.00 which includes lodging, meals and a t-shirt.

This course is designed to improve reading ability in comprehension, speed, and vocabulary. The required summer reading book from the appropriate grade level will be the text. Prepared to be challenged by the likes of Shakespeare, Mamet and other influential playwrights in our Advanced Drama Class. This class will delve into the techniques used by famous teachers such as Stanislavsky, Chekov and Boal, to truly hone their skills in bringing characters to life on the stage. Please contact Jay Goodlett to confirm that you have the required training to participate. The last class of the session will be a performance class. Parents/Guardians are invited to attend. Take your creativity to the next level and learn to compose music that enhances your video gaming experience. Even if youve never tried composing before you can learn to manipulate sounds to make the action on your screen come alive. Students will use Propellerheads Reason/Record software in our portable music technology lab to compose music for existing video games as well as create music for their own game concepts and scenes. Any student currently enrolled in band, orchestra or choir is welcome to join this camp, even if you havent had any composing experience. Family and friends are invited to attend a multi-media performance on the last day of camp. Register for either the morning or the afternoon session the week of June 27-July 1.
