Scientists in this class will get to know first-hand that summer is the best time of year to study matter. We will learn about how clouds forms and use air resistance to slow down an egg dropped from 13 feet. Tiny Cartesian divers show us how air behaves under pressure, well figure out how to get an egg into a bottle without breaking it and study heat transfer while we turn liquids into tasty treats! Session One - Beals Point Beach State Park
The Folsom Lake SRA Junior Lifeguard Program trains children ages 8-16 years of age in aquatic safety, while providing them with an interactive and well rounded outdoor education. Each participant is given instruction and hands on training in CPR/1st Aid and Aquatic Rescue techniques/equipment. Educational trips include a river-rafting trip, bicycle tour of the American River bike trail, and ocean orientation during the Santa Cruz camping trip. **Please keep in mind that one uniform T-shirt and a JG rashguard are included in the tuition price. If you wish to purchase more uniform items, you may do so on this same registration site. For rising 6th-8th grade girls Advanced camp is for the serious-minded player who wants to advance to the high school level. This camp will emphasize positional play. Players will work at either the guard or post position. Emphasis for guard will be feeding the post, offensive moves and setting screens.
