About Sign your child up for a fun filled week of cheerleading with the NYS Express Cheer Team and coaches. We will be teaching a variety of skills and drills including motions, jumps, stunting, sideline cheers and tumbling. In addition to skills we will play exciting cheer games, decorate/create bows to take home and compete for the lucky cheer stick! Participants will also go home with a camp tee shirt. Senior Camp 2016 - Randleman, NC
A few days to BE A KID AGAIN! Join us while we have a great week of fun and fellowship. WoodmenLife members and their spouses, ages 55 and up. Camp fee is ONLY $35 Trust me, these aren't "just old folks", we have a blast and do almost all the same activities the youth campers do! New for 2016 we have added a day trip to Millstone Creek Orchards in Ramseur, Thursday October 6th. Bus fair is sponsored by the Bessemer City Chapter 1286, and tickets are covered in your registration fee. Don’t forget to bring YOUR secret award winning dessert for our Home Cookin’ Cook Off. The winner will receive a prize from WoodmenLife. Bring your silent auction items, as we will be holding a benefit for the camp. Young Adult Leadership Retreat - Marble Falls, TX
Many of us have gone to church camp when we were in the youth group, but once we moved on to adulthood, most of us found that there are few places for people of our age to go to where we can get quality time with God away from our busy lives. The Young Adult retreat was designed to deal with that dilemma. This is an incredible, inexpensive opportunity for young professionals to get away for a weekend filled with God's word, fellowship, worship and fun. Cactus Petes Saloon was the coolest place in town, but now its the home of the biggest brawl in the desert. Tumbleweeds blow, shots are fired, and the Stagecoach gang is riding into town. Strap on your cowboy boots and warm up your vocal chords, cause this week will be full of singing, dancing, and shoot-outs. Perfect for the young singer/dancer whos got a knack for causing trouble AND saving the day. A trip to Cactus Petes is impossible to forget. Below is a biography on your teaching professional and her philosophy Seiko Onoue began golfing at the age of 7 and played her first golf tournament at 9. As a junior, she won multiple events and received a scholarship to train at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Florida. In college, she joined the University of Southern California womens golf team and enjoyed a competitive collegiate golf career. She graduated from USC with a BA in Psychology, and began her career in golf instruction. Seiko integrates her background in psychology and competitive golf to improve players physical and mental game. Seiko has worked with men and women of all ages and abilities. She fosters a supportive and fun instructional environment aimed at helping students reach their goals! Seiko is a Member of the Professional Golfers Association of America. Be your Own Best Coach! Storytime Yoga PK-1 (Monday) - Janney Elementary School
Yoga helps the student find balance at any age, calming the mind and relaxing the body. This class helps bring active minds into union with active bodies in a non-competitive environment. Kids will learn new poses in a fun and playful way that stretches and strengthens their imaginations as well as their bodies. Mats are provided. Previous yoga experience is not required.
