Teen Director's Camp - New Bern, NC
Info and application posted under Children's Programs on Rivertowne's Website! www.rivertowneplayers.org This week long camp will meet every afternoon. We will work with local directors to learn technique, stage blocking and tableaus, the audition process, vetting and preparing a show, ect. Guest directors will visit with us to tell us about their personal techniques. There are VERY limited spots. An application will be available for the first two weeks of June. This is FREE OF CHARGE! We do hope to host a teen show this spring, and the production team will come from this camp.

Coats for Kids 2015 Campaign
Join us as we collect NEW Coats for Kids and cover the end zone of Joan C. Edwards Football Stadium! We will be collecting coats all through the months of October and November. Drop your NEW coat off today, at the designated Goodwill locations (Virginia Avenue, 9th Avenue, Lavalette, Milton & Barboursville) or at the Marshall home games on 10/24 and 11/14. Donate a NEW coat for the campaign and be entered in a drawing for: 4 chairback seats to the Marshall vs. FIU game on 11/14 & an on-field experience at the game. Makers Workshop - CuriOdyssey
Recommended for children ages 8-12 years old. The Maker movement emphasizes learning by doing and encourages creativity, invention, and modeling. As the annual Maker Faire Bay Area occurs this month, we wanted to provide a workshop that captures the spirit of Making. Participants will be inspired as they work on a do it yourself (DIY) project supported by CuriOdyssey education staff. The theme of this Maker Experience will be vehicles powered by wind, rubber bands, and/or motor. Prepare to be creative and join the community of Makers. 650-340-7590

Lacey Camp (Outdoor) - REGULAR Session 1 - 2016 - City of Hanford
Grades: K - 12th This weeks theme "Kids in the Kitchen Week" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child. The park in the summer is hot, please send your child to the park with a bottle of water and sunscreen. Staff will provide an igloo of cold water for refills. Improv…Coming Out of Your Shell - The Derryfield School
This class will explore the art of improvisation with an emphasis on confidence building and acting technique. Theatre games, creative scene scenarios, role playing, as well as soliloquy and monologue training are just some of the methods used in the course. Students will design and create characters that will change and evolve during the class as they interact with each other on the stage without the use of scripts.
