Adventure Camp - Week 3 (4 Days Only) - The Greenwell Foundation
Adventure Camp (ages 8-12 by first day of camp session). This week, Camp runs for 4 days only (Tuesday to Friday) Why is Adventure Camp different? Campers are provided the opportunity to explore further into the park with longer hikes, shelter building, and learning how to build a campfire – and then Smores! Part of Adventure Camp is letting the group direct what activities they would like to do by coming up with new and exciting adventures. The staff has the freedom to be creative when making these fun adventures come to life. Campers will have an opportunity to kayak twice during the week, including a visit to the Hollywood Oyster Company. They will create and run their own unique obstacle course, go fishing and crabbing from the pier, and build their own boats out of recycled materials and test to see if they are sea-worthy. Mid-week, campers will hike to the Manor House area where they can build forts with bamboo, explore the gardens, play water games and capture the flag, visit the Barn and participate in our Nature Time program. Junior Buffs Camp *click for description - Colorado Volleyball Camp
The Junior Buffs Camp is designed for the beginning player looking to learn or improve his or her skills. Campers will be divided into groups by age and skill level while learning appropriate movements and volleyball skills in a fun atmosphere. Whether you are new to the sport or just want a refresher course on basic skill in a pressure free environment, this camp is for you! Every registration requires full payment. A $50 fee will be retained on all cancellations for any reason to cover credit card fees and administrative expenses. The remaining amount will be credited back to ones account if paid by credit card. If paid by check, the University will cut a check back to the original payee. For prompt processing, refund requests should be made prior to the start of camp. A pro-rated fee system will be in effect for those campers only attending partial days of camp. Instructors: Finan & Cusick Get ready to build, invent and reinvent in our Innovation Lab. You will learn how the art of tinkering brings STEM projects to a whole new level of fun and inspiration. Whether you are a girl or a boy, into science, art, building or being creative in any way, this is the class for you. You will look at existing inventions with an eye for how you can improve them or invent something else altogether. You will have the option of choosing from projects such as: Fuse-your-own Fabrics, Slingshot Car Launcher, Wood-Crafted Wonders, Toppling Towers, Remote Release Zip Line Alarm Clock and that is just to name a few.
