Let colors and shapes drive the art-making process while exploring a variety of media! Campers will get inspiration from Picasso and Jackson Pollock as they paint and draw their own creative masterpieces. Week 1 PM - Paddle Treks - NESS
Combine the best of standup paddle boarding with kayaking to paddle your way around the warm waters of Little Narragansett Bay. Take an adventure outside the harbor for a day of surfing on Rhode Island Beaches. Test your core strength, balance and fitness in this paddling adventure. Challenge yourself with new skills, play SUP & Yak games, and enjoy the company of friends while exploring our local waters. Classes will combine stretching and fitness with fun and adventure. Includes: stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, surfing & a boat ride 860-535-9362
Grossology-Gayton Baptist - Gayton Baptist Church
Campers will discover loads of horribly fantastic experiments! Projects focus on blood, bones, and body bits! This is science with the squishy bits left in it! Tons of chemistry and biology for the aspiring doctor or scientist! Sample Projects: Bulging Bag of Brains, Simulated Snot, Baby Diaper Dissection, Eyeball Acrobatics, Bird Barf, and we are only getting started! In addition: Grossologists will indulge in many other sickening body experiments. This is our most disgusting camp! 678-294-9504
Builders Academy: LEGO® Star Wars Projects - Bethel Christian Center
Design beautifully detailed Star Wars® vehicles and power them with a LEGO® motor, battery pack and gears. Students experience the excitement of a motor - how this device can transform a stationary object into a moving one. Projects include the Millennium Falcon, Reys Landspeeder, R2D2, X-Wing fighter, and Snow-Speeder. Students construct the motorized projects, then customize the design, and play with and share ideas with other campers. Builders are sure to have the force with them in this camp!Students take home a LEGO® mini-build and camp T-shirt. Students do not take home the LEGO® projects or pieces from the class This is an afternoon half day camp for 5-7 year olds. This course can be taken with The Great Race class if desiring a full day camp, which includes a supervised lunch recess. 206-466-6882
Speed & Agility Camp, Session 2 - Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy
Where: Wroubel Center, main gym, outdoor & sand courts About: Students who attend this camp will work on all aspects of conditioning, including but not limited to speed training, agility, quickness, and anaerobic conditioning. This camp incorporates sprint mechanics and footwork as it relates to various cone, ladder, band and sprint drills, first step quickness and lateral movements. Students will be exposed to different resisted movements as well as basic agility and plyometrics. Great for sports that need high levels of conditioning like Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse, etc. By using some of these techniques, some of the 2015 football players lowered their 40-yd dash & pro-agility and increased their vertical jump. This will also help soccer with improving pre-season testing results and in-season conditioning. **Sign up for both speed & agility sessions and pay only $100. Discount will automatically load at checkout.** What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, shoes for indoor and outdoor, socks, water bottle, and a readiness to prepare for your upcoming season.
