The Hawks Haven Nest provides our youngest campers with the same quality and diverse program found in our Primary Camp. Campers participate in fun, active, enriching activities that are developmentally appropriate. While these children will not participate in off-campus field trips, we will bring special events and activities to campus just for them! A typical day will include both individual and small group activities with an emphasis on: • Developing social skills • Providing cognitive challenges • Learning to cooperate and function successfully in a group • Exploring • Building self-confidence • Learning to make choices • Developing a love of learning • Character Development • Creative Thinking Every day will include indoor activities writing, painting, cutting, and puzzles and outdoor activities like water fun and great games. Both give your child a chance to develop gross and fine motor skills and include free choice as well as instructor-led activities. Hughson High Football is hosting a Youth Camp. This camp provides a great opportunity for the youth in Hughson, 7 to 14 yrs old to learn the needed football skills to be successful. Participants will be coached by both the Hughson High Football coaching staff and the Hughson High Varsity Football Players. The camp will also end with some friendly competitions between teams. Experience the natural wonder Deschutes Land Trust Metolius Preserve tour on an accessible path. Visit the heart of the Metolius. Participate in a guided tour of the Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery and the Camp Sherman Fire Station. View wildlife on shady forested trails and enjoy a group picnic. Spring Break Advanced Junior Golf School - Charleston Municipal Golf Course
Spring Advanced Junior Golf School Ages: 13-17 $75 Registration Fee Monday, March 28th – Thursday, March 31st 1:00pm -3:30pm This Golf School will focus solely on instruction and fundamentals of executing each golf shot. Video analysis of each shot will be recorded and reviewed and sent to the student for future review. Each student will understand their flaws and what to practice to improve them based on their goals. This class will have advanced instruction techniques but is acceptable for all abilities. Each student will leave school with a better understanding of their golf swing and what it take to improve to reach their goals. Camp Instruction led by PGA Master Instructor Boykin Powers. Strengthening for Pointe - Building Strong Feet and Legs. The strengthening for pointe class is designed to prepare the young student for pointe work. Picking up pencils with the toes, working with thera bands, doing repetitions of releves and eleves helps to strengthen the toes, ankles, and muscles of the entire foot and leg.
