Build-A-Bear - Old Trail School
Campers will visit the local Build-A-Bear store on Monday to create their own teddy bears. The rest of the week will be spent creating accessories and other items that go along with their individual bears. Campers will spend quality time with popular Old Trail teachers and friends incorporating stories and drama, arts and crafts, songs and games, social studies and research, science and exploration, Math, and Language arts into all their explorations. Emphasis on teamwork, celebration of individual growth and creativity will make this camp exciting and memorable. Campers should wear comfortable play clothes and be ready to go, go, go! ACORN CAMPS IS A DAY CAMP FOR GIRLS AND BOYS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 4 AND 15. ​​ The focus of Acorn Camps is making sure children have the time of their lives. Acorn Camps is a much needed break from the academic year where creativity, adventure, thrills, smiles and plain old good times are the priority. Acorn Camps activities provide children with the opportunities and experiences to develop the necessary skills to face challenges, build character, foster independence , and to try new things in a fun and safe environment.A variety of programs offered: boating, group games, arts and crafts, adventure programming, primitive skill programs, science, legos, group challenge activities and initiatives, zip line, giant swing, gaga ball, and camp songs. With a plethora of on trend sewing patterns to choose from and bolts and bolts of tempting fabric, our Fashion & Machine Sewing program offers unlimited choices. Patient and skilled counselors work with individual campers of all abilities to teach all the necessary skills, from learning how to use a sewing machine to measuring, pinning, cutting, and putting patterns together.
