August Strings Full Day Session - Portland First Church of the Nazarene
We offer a unique experience of instrument specific ensembles in our morning session and a combined ensemble in our afternoon session. Students will receive both small and large group coaching from our music specialists and camp counselors. We will also have fun with musical games and activities throughout the day to build teamwork and a positive group dynamic. During the week we will be working up to a concert on Friday afternoon to share what we have learned. We hope each student will enjoy the week of learning new music and making new friends! Tennis, Tues. & Thurs. (Grades 1-5) - Bolles Ponte Vedra Beach Campus
Students will be introduced to Tennis using the Quickstart method of instruction (when appropriate, based on skill level). Learning the fundamentals of the game, scoring and sportsmanship are integral parts of the class. Each child should bring a racket and water bottle with them to each class. If you do not have a racket, Danny will provide one to fit your child at a minimal cost. Taught by local Tennis Pro Danny Witt 904-256-5071

THURS : PreK & Kindergarten Program - The Story of King Midas - The Philadelphia School
Join us for a fun-filled day experiencing an interactive storytelling adventure about the myth of King Midas! Each student will decorate a golden mask and participate in recreating the story. Students will also learn about Turkey and the cultural traditions of the land where King Midas once ruled. We will also explore the rich and colorful patterns of Turkish tiles, and each student will design and decorate their own tile to take home. A mid-morning snack will be served. Choice indoor and outdoor activities will be offered, as well as a walk to Taney Park, weather permitting. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). **Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $20. A late-afternoon snack and choice activities will be provided. Pick-up time is 3:00 p.m. for the regular program and 5:30 p.m. for the extended day.
