Students will learn how to program a robot to navigate through maze challenges, detect obstacles and even get the opportunity to duel other robot teams in a mini sump competition. By the end of the camp students will show off their learned robotics skills, experience STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) first hand and take their robot home to continue their exploration of its many capabilities. Firefighter Youth Camp - Limerick, PA
Limerick Fire Company's Third Annual YOUTH FIREFIGHTER CAMP June 20-24, 2016; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Ages 6-13 years of age Registration Fee: $35; deadline to register: May 30, 2016 Welcome to Limerick Fire Company’s Youth Firefighter Camp. Due to the success of our camp, the deadline to register cannot be extended and attendance is limited to 60 campers. All registered cadets will receive one LFC Fireman’s tee shirt and LFC baseball cap to wear as their ‘daily uniform’. Hat and designated ‘uniform shirt’ must be worn every day because it identifies which group the cadet is assigned to for the week. If you are interested in purchasing extra camp shirts, they must be ordered at the time of registration-$10 per shirt. Why try this Camp? You will: ►Learn fire safety you thought you knew & then apply what you’ve learned ►Learn about the fire house, trucks (apparatus), and personnel ►Hands-on with various equipment ►Ladders-learn the how-to’s ►Hoses-proper techniques to connect to the hydrant, flow water, roll up, etc. ►Extinguishers-the ABC’s ►Rescue tools during simulated live demonstrations ►Fire gear-bunker pants, jacket, helmet, safety gloves & glasses all provided ►Watch & participate in several live demonstrations with the firefighters ►And so much more…. Highland School Robotics- Spring - Highland Elementary
An Introduction to Robotics using LEGO® WeDo and Computers Students 1st grade and older get a head start on simple robotics with this concept. They build models, attach sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool. The activity pack is divided into four themes: Amazing Mechanisms, Wild Animals, Play Soccer and Adventure Stories. Etiquette FUNday Bootcamp - Old Trail School
A fun class for the summer to learn and catch up on all your social skills. Campers will learn all about being the perfect host from party planning and set up to how to write thank you notes. They will make their own beginner stationary kits, then make their way to the dining table and fine tune those skills from the kitchen table to fine dining. There will be a class on visual poise, introductions, telephone manners and meeting new friends. A grooming class with closet organization, nail grooming or tie tying. Plus lots more. Session 3 - Team Camp - Florida Southern College
The goal of this camp is to spend 4 days having a blast playing the game of volleyball, learning new techniques, developing team chemistry and exposing teams to new concepts and strategies. The coaches will cover individual skills (passing, setting, attacking, blocking, serving) as well as team concepts (offensive systems, defensive patterns, serve receive patterns, transition). There will be a day and a half of training followed by two days of competition. Individuals may also attend. They will be skill tested and put on teams. The emphasis for this camp is on building team concepts within each group of players. (Ages 11-18) Check in will be Sunday at 4:00 pm and Check out will be Wednesday at 11:00 am 863-680-4474
