Kid's do Strollfit - Norman, OK
Second annual kids do Strollfit class. All kids are welcome to bring their baby stroller, lawn mower, anything they can push and they will do their own Strollfit class. Prizes will be given for best decorated vehicle/push item. I will assign older kids an exercise to teach to the other kids (generally 4 and up). Moms, please help them and practice with them. If you have a younger one that would like to teach, let me know and I will add them. Don't want to exclude any who wants to teach!! Be sure you bring your camera. Session 9 - Camp Half Blood
Camp Half-Blood is offered in one-week sessions to boys and girls ages 7 through 12. Each session pulls its theme from a different Greek Myth. Using storytelling, live action role play and physically and mentally engaging activities, campers work with their friends to develop new skills, solve problems and create summer memories that will last a lifetime. Demi-Gods will learn archery, sword-fighting, forging, story-making, myth-writing, and create greek-inspired crafts. All of which theyll need in their weekly (quests) to find and defeat the ancient monsters that roam the hills and paths of our Prospect Park campsite. Camp Half-Blood is open to demi-Gods ages 7-12. Our drop-off and pick-up location is at the 9th Street and Prospect Park West entrance to Prospect Park. August 1-4: Secret Language of Birds (Ages 5-7) - Mountain Kids!
Birds are beautiful and expressive animals that we can see and hear daily. Learning bird language opens up a whole new way of understanding our forests and what is happening around us. We will look for birds in the wild and visit the Wildlife Center for an educational program and close-up view of some beautiful raptors and other birds and mammals. SOFTBALL CAMP - Adams Park
Lace up your cleats and get ready to play ball! Campers will learn the basics of pitching, catching, fielding, throwing, hitting and base running. Well spend the day working on skills, drills and techniques and then apply the fundamentals during scrimmages. Supplies: Campers should bring their own bat and glove, and a packed lunch with a beverage and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
