Kid's Summer Yoga Camp - Canby, OR
Balance and Harmony is happy to announce our first summer yoga camp for children ages 3-5. This camp will introduce your child to basic yoga poses and breathing exercises through story, songs and games. Each class will also include a creative activity that reinforces our yoga practice. Children will bring a packed snack and we will enjoy time outside at Wait Park. Taught by Sherry Wolfson. Sherry holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certificate. She began teaching preschool and special education over 30 years ago and has taught yoga to preschoolers at Childswork Learning Center in Portalnd for the past 3 years. Classes will be held for 5 weeks (July 1st - 29th) on Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00. Fee-$150 for all 5 days. Around the World! Kid's Camp - Midland, MI
We are going around the world with this multi faceted day camp for kids! We will explore the art, language and culture of several different countries, including Brazil, Morocco and Japan. A variety of activities will fill our time together - art, sports, music and more! Campers will create and fill in their "passports" as we visit a new country each day. Kids from 8-13 are invited to join us for this 4 day camp, running Monday, August 15 - Thursday, August 18 from 9 am to 12:30 pm each day. Cost of camp is $120. HalfTimers - Start to Finish Soccer Camp - The Prairie School
Start to Finish Soccer Camp has a long­-term mission for youth soccer players to find enjoyment and success in soccer, both at the same time. No matter what the age or experience level you may be, Start to Finish has something for you. This three­-stage program is divided by age and/or ability to provide a challenging, yet fun environment to find soccer success. Start to Finish has a well­-balanced curriculum that emphasizes individual technique, which is the building block of high-­level soccer. Players receive technical repetition in highly active and enjoyable activities. Players also learn from an energetic, enthusiastic, and involved staff that have a passion to teach soccer to young developing players. Advanced Basketball Camp-girls - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
For rising 6th-8th grade girls Advanced camp is for the serious-minded player who wants to advance to the high school level. This camp will emphasize positional play. Players will work at either the guard or post position. Emphasis for guard will be feeding the post, offensive moves and setting screens. Musical Robots - MacRostie Art Center
Art, science, technology and math! Troy Rogers is a composer, instrument builder, and educator whose work often finds itself at various intersections of art and technology. For more than ten years, he has been creating robotic musical instruments and producing music for these novel devices. He will provide an ensemble of percussion robots for the workshop and guide students through the process. Kits available for purchase but not required for workshop participation.
