Star Wars® FAB LAB Projects & More! - Ages 6 - 9 Build to your hearts content in this all-day workshop. In the morning, design beautifully detailed Star Wars® vehicles and power them with a LEGO® motor, battery pack and gears. Students experience the excitement of a motor - how this device can transform a stationary object into a moving one. Projects include the Millennium Falcon, Reys Landspeeder, R2D2, X-Wing fighter, and Snow-Speeder. Students construct the motorized projects, then customize the design, and play with and share ideas with other campers. Builders are sure to have the force with them in this camp! In the afternoon, students learn the principles of engineering including the use of beams, columns and trusses as they build with the KNEX® system. Well design a skyscraper and bridge and even build a motor-powered car to drive over the bridge. Other projects include amusement park rides such as a spinning swing and a ferris wheel. Fashion Design & Wearable Technology - Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta
Description: Generation Infocus invites tinkering girls and boys to participate in the fashion design/wearable technology STEAM studio to learn how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics all can be used to transform the things we wear. This design-based studio will immerse students in the mathematical concepts surrounding garment engineering and how circuitry can be incorporated into clothing to make them light up! Students will learn the basics of hand and machine sewing to be equipped to engage in garment construction challenges such as creating a superhero themed e-textile cuff. This is the rescheduled date for the class that was supposed to be on January 23rd, but had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. 404-525-5561

SuperSports - Multi-Sport Camp (Grades 5-9) Athletes will play a variety of sports such as flag football, basketball, ultimate Frisbee, soccer, floor hockey, rugby, wiffleball, dodge ball, team handball, and "capture the flag" in a competitive yet encouraging environment. Athletes will improve skills with sport-specific drills and are matched with others of similar ability. A 2 ½ day Super Sport Olympic Games competition with be held starting Wednesday afternoon with prizes and 2017 WW-P Athletic Sport Camp scholarship awards.
