Week 1: Young Scientist/Photography and Fiber Arts - The Childrens Tree Montessori School
Young Scientists (3-6): Daily experiments and take-home project, exploring the human body and our senses and the universe will keep preschoolers busy. Photography & Fiber Arts (6-12): Participants will explore local nature areas with cameras and learn digital editing. Those interested in fiber arts will also learn to knit, crochet and weave. Participants will need to bring their own camera. The wonderfully qualified staff at The Childrens Tree Montessori School have come together to create an interactive summer program to keep your 3-12 yr old child engaged, discovering, and learning. *Activities for children ages 3-12 yrs old *Full day: bring a lunch, sunscreen, bathing suit, and towel *Sessions are Monday –Thursday *Activities will be age appropriate for all children *Must be fully potty trained for preschool program *Highly recommended for new students *Program Hours are 8:30-3:30 or 8:30 -12:00 860-388-3536

Coach Amanda Beery has led her team to FCC National Championships, coached girls to win Individual and Team performance awards. During this week of camp campers will learn skills that emphasize proper form and as well as safety. Stunting: Starting with low-level skills such as thigh stands and progressing to semi-advanced stunts. Tumbling: Cartwheels, handstands and round offs. Those with a solid tumbling background will work on back handspring technique. Motions: Learn all motions and the names for each arm placement with a focus on sharp and properly executed technique. Cheers: Cheers will be taught to the participants, implementing the skills learned at camp Dance: A dance will be taught utilizing the needed to excel in cheer dance. The Next Step offers a specialized program of musical theater classes taught by Broadway professionals, for aspiring performers, ages 14-17, who have had some previous on-stage experience. Opti Race (Session 1 AM) - NESS
Prerequisite: Opti Green Fleet/instructor recommendation Students will work on more advanced boat handling techniques, including roll tacks and jibes, and will be introduced to more racing tactics, strategies and techniques. Sailors will learn what it takes to progress to the next level of Opti racing and will be expected to compete in local Opti regattas where Red, White and Blue fleets are formed by age. Having your own racing level Opti is an advantage at this stage and students are encouraged to bring their own boats. All students will be under the supervision of our race coach in class and at specific local regattas.
