On Friday, April 29th, 2016, Royal Family KIDS Camp #273 will be hosting their annual Dessert Benefit & Silent Auction. The event will take place at the Lewiston Community Center (1424 Main Street - Lewiston, ID) from 6pm-9pm. The cost is $5/person, or $20 for a family of 5. This is our biggest fundraising event of the year. Royal Family KIDS Camp is a non-profit week-long summer camp for foster children who have been abused, abandoned, neglected, etc. All of the proceeds from this event go directly to the children we support. This class will merge the fundamentals of drawing and painting while exploring new concepts of self-expression. Shape, form, pattern, perspective, color theory, collage, and experimental painting techniques will be covered in this exciting new class. Students will learn to draw from observation, become inventive with new materials, and experiment with a multitude of mediums to share their own point of view. 401-490-9475

Kids and digital cameras in nature – a recipe for fun and stunning images! Campers will capture their unique perspectives of the natural world on their daily adventures in the mountains. On Thursday, campers will have time to select, edit and crop a photo for a Friday art show and celebration! Bump, set, SPIKE! Boys and girls will both enjoy this lifetime sport by learning the proper techniques for serving, passing, setting and hitting on the hard court. At the end of each day, new skills are applied in a game setting, and effective teamwork and good sportsmanship are emphasized. Campers should wear comfortable clothing for movement, tennis shoes, and knee pads (optional). All registrants agree to the policies and procedures of Youth Programs, including change fees, cancellation fees, deadlines, and other details found in the program materials and parent handbook. Kitchen Kids CIT program provides the opportunity for teens to develop leadership and culinary skills. This program is ideal for high school students who love helping younger kids and being in the kitchen. Being a Kitchen Kid CIT is fun and rewarding. Special roles include assisting culinary coaches with mini lessons at the start of each day, prepping ingredients, providing support to the younger chefs, supervising clean up, creating extra recipes throughout the week, organizing the farmers market day, and leading their own small group at the end of the week. CITs are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the regular camp day.
