Full disclosure: our daughter has some weight issues. That's why we wanted to find a camp that would cater to her concerns without stigmatizing her. What a wonderful time she had at Shane Weight Loss Camp. For the first time she was excited about doing physical activities. She's back home now and teaching us all how to eat healthy and stay fit. This is an after camp wrap up. We will be meeting at the ATHENS OFFICE AT 5PM!
2nd Annual Youth Campout - Middle Fork Wildlife Mgmt Area
Bring your kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews. WFBCHU 2nd annual youth camp. Friday, September 18: Check in 5 pm. Ride at 6 pm. Hobo dinner assembly upon return from ride. Leave No Trace demonstration during dinner. Guitar music and sing along. Hobo dinners and smores provided by Chapter. Saturday, September 19: Creakfast cooked and provided by Chapter. Service project if applicable. AM ride. Lunch on your own. 2 pm Ponies on Parade. Decorate your horse with animal friendly paint, glitter, ribbons, feathers, etc. We will lead decorated ponies through campground. PM ride if desired. First aid demo. Dinner hot dogs, chips, pork n beans provided by Chapter. Scavenger hunt 7 pm. Campfire smores and music. Sunday, September 20: Breakfast provided by Chapter. Ride. Good byes. Please RSVP Tammi Johnson @ [email protected] or (801) 690-4469 no later than September 11 of number coming in your party. All youth MUST be accompanied by an adult. This event free to members. Survivors.Cooking.For.Survivors.. "S.C.F.S." --- ROUND 4 Come Cook with us!! Our Teens will be taught how to make from scratch exquisite side dishes and amazing Holiday favorites! Chef Travis Levi (a survivor himself) will be leading the teens through everything from the importance of kitchen etiquette to making healthy choices. There are few things more pleasurable about fall than giving in to every whim to bake and cook. Who: Any young adult between the ages of 13-18yrs who has been diagnosed with cancer. Cost: FREE Your children do NOT need to have participated in Camp or our Survivors Supporting Survivors support group to attend We’re proud to partner with the Bardenay and Chef Travis Levi again this year. The Bardenay will be hosting us in there beautiful event center "Beside the Beside Bardenay" While Travis, the definitive authority on all things cooking, will demonstrate how to expand your cooking skills into amazing, delicious and freshly sweet success. We just reserved our spots for Creek kids! Parents, mark your calendar for next summer and start saving. Camp is an awesome birthday or Christmas gift! Registration will open in February. Summer camp. It’s a chance for your kids to… get away from home make new friends get messy stay up late and have some fun. Right? Well, yes. And no. Because there’s a lot more to summer camp than fun and games. A week of summer camp can impact your kid’s faith like nothing else can. For a whole week, Your kids will go on a journey with God. They’ll hear life-changing truths. They’ll worship. They’ll talk about it together. They’ll build better friendships. And they’ll connect with an adult – their small group leader – who will personally invest in them. And, yeah, they’ll have some fun, too. Summer camp is where memories are made. The kind of memories that can shape a kid’s faith, and will stick with them long after the week is over. Summer camp matters. And it’s right around the corner.

Participants will discover their inner archaeologist as they explore ancient history through hands-on activities, artifact analysis, demonstrations, and more. Footsteps Mandarin Immersion Summer Camp is an opportunity for extended Mandarin immersion. While having a fantastic time, your child will begin to acquire the ability to use Mandarin correctly and confidently in various daily tasks and social situations. Our dynamic, experienced staff is either native speaking or fluent. Campers spend each day moving from one activity to the next, designed to provide an immersion experience while still allowing for a ton of fun. Your child will love exploring the language and traditions of China by tasting authentic Mandarin cuisine—using Chinese words, of course, and learning about and creating traditional Mandarin arts and textiles and taking field trips to expand your childs knowledge. A week or more of camp will help boost your childs language ability! There is a weekly field trip and special event. Two healthy snacks are provided each day. Raspberry Pi is much more than a low cost, credit-card sized computer, It has the ability to interact with the outside world via GPIO pins, and is being used in a wide array of digital projects, from weather stations to all the way to IoT connected devices. In this camp, students will be introduced to the exciting world of Raspberry Pi. They will learn different elements of Raspberry Pi and how to program them. Students will explore how Raspberry Pi is used for Automation and Robotics using different sensors. Students will also learn about the Drones in this camp and how to program a drone. 925-659-8000
