Each week students will be given a readers theater script to memorize and act out in their group. Then the group will create simple costumes and props to go with the readers theater play. They will perform their skit at the end of each week, creating four readers theater skits during the summer school session. Solids, Liquids, Gases, Oh My! Have you ever wondered how to make a liquid grow spikes? Or why your cookie recipe needs baking soda? Or how to make liquid water that is colder than ice? This is the camp to get those answers all while having fun. Students will experiment with safe, hands on projects and games exploring the tiniest bits of matter. Each day we will look at a different topic of chemistry and have several activities and experiments related to that topic. Some topics may include food chemistry.
