Capoeira Kid's Summer Camp - South Jordan, UT
Capoeira Kids Camp Kids! Join Capoeira Utah this July for fun, fitness, and a fantastic cultural experience at Capoeira Kids Camp. Capoeira is a unique Brazilian martial art that combines kicks and dodges with acrobatics and dance like movements all performed to live music! Camp takes place from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Tuesday & Thursday, July 5 & 7, and July 12 & 14. Each day we'll do special capoeira training in levels for both beginners and experienced students as well as: Portuguese language Singing and Playing Instruments Acrobatics training Crafts (make your own maculele costume and sticks, wooden machete, and/or feathered samba headress) Traditional dances: Samba, maculele, a capoeira choreography and more! Camp is open to kids ages 6-11 with or without previous experience in capoeira. Cost: Full camp is $150 per child ($25 discount for students currently enrolled at Capoeira Utah.), and $90 for half camp, $50 non-refundable deposit due July 1st. Balance due prior to start of camp. Our students explore the many elements of the visual arts. During the session, students are exposed to a variety of artistic styles, cultural interpretations, and mediums. The elements of brainstorming and more complex forms of problem solving are introduced through interactive format. Students begin to talk enthusiastically about possibilities. In this camp, you will discover your artistic strengths and get started on a portfolio!
