Ultimate Tennis / Game Theory Camp II (Grades 1-8) - WWP High School North
Ultimate Tennis / Game Theory Camp II (Grades 1-8) In the morning camp will feature games, drills, and team-oriented activities designed to develop skills, strengthen consistency and build player confidence. Attention will be given to both singles and doubles games. Afternoon hours will take place in the classroom and will be devoted to game theory and mental toughness. Daily sessions will provide interactive games, activities and simulations designed to build confidence, mental toughness and a better understanding of competitive situations. Two different sessions are offered. Participants can sign up for one or both sessions. Staff: Albert Paulsson and varsity athletes Pre and post camp care is available at Millstone River school through WWP Community Education for an additional fee on their website. April 26 - June 2 - PRO 3:5 Sports Academy
Our training sessions are creative and geared toward maintaining a fun yet challenging and competitive atmosphere. We understand that athletes need to not only be pushed to their limits, but they must enjoy what they are doing if they are to truly benefit from it. The program utilizes a combination of speed, acceleration, and agility drills coupled with power and strength exercises in a structured and controlled environment. These young athletes will learn and sharpen their skills in the mechanics of running, agility, and footwork, while being introduced to various pieces of speed and agility training equipment throughout the facility. Low-intensity strength training is emphasized with exercises involving the athletes own body weight, and power is developed through the application of plyometrics. Jr. Space Engineer - San Juan Del Rio Catholic School
Using LEGO® bricks, campers will design and build structures and space vehicles for living on far away planets. Campers will utilize a variety of LEGO® bricks including motors, gears, lights, and sensors. Space Engineer includes instruction on the Earth, Moon, stars, and planets as well as the scientific topics of force, friction, simple machines, and gravity. Campers will also join the crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS) to learn about propulsion, friction and more. Counselors will assign specific projects each day that include: a rotating satellite, space buggy, a stunning spaceship, terrestrial homes that can withstand alien atmospheres and a host of other exciting projects. Campers will work in teams to complete their missions. Our camps are 9am-4pm with pre and post camp options available as well! Level 1 & 2 Mountain Bike - Ute Valley Park @ Pinon Valley
This camp is for kids with Level 1 and Level 2 mountain biking skills. Kids will break into two groups after the first day of camp based on age/ability. LEVEL 1 After a kid has become confident riding a bicycle on two wheels, with the ability to steer and brake the bike appropriately, we move into more skill development of bicycle handling, overall confidence, and building up young mountain biking ambassadors. We teach appropriate trail and group riding etiquette and build on the childs ability to brake, steer, and handle the bicycle on gravel both uphill and downhill. LEVEL 2 This level becomes the difference between a ‘beginner and an ‘intermediate mountain biker. Though age is not the determining factor, kids are usually at least 7 years old and have been riding a bicycle confidently for a couple years. With level 2 comes more substantial mountain biking with drills specific to handling a bicycle on singletrack. Capacity for riding grows to longer consecutive riding stretches, maintaining energy and enthusiasm for riding, and the ability to show multiple riding skills naturally.
