April School Break - Earth Friendly Science- Club Scientific teams up with KidzArt & Drama Kids - Our Saviors Lutheran School
Dont let your child spend their School Break cooped up indoors…instead let them stretch their minds and creativity with Drama Kids, Club Scientific and KidzArt! This April join us as we go green and celebrate Earth Day and all the wonders of this great planet in our Upcycled Art camp. KidzArt teams up with Drama Kids and Club Scientific in this weeklong camp. Create unique mixed media pieces with found, unusual and recycled materials and assembled with imagination. Experiment with papermaking, watercolor painting, collage and sculpture. Create a functional piece of art that also helps save the planet. Explore the science behind mysteries of nature and eco-friendly things we can do with Club Scientific. Create an original drama performance and build your childs imagination and self-confidence with Drama Kids. We hope you will join us on a journey towards a greener existence. KODA Youth Girls (Ages 13–16) - Camp Mark 7
Camp Mark Seven offers a place where hearing children of Deaf parents could come together to learn about, and better understand the two worlds that they simultaneously live in, and where they could explore, identify, and strengthen their unique C/KODA identities and develop individually as leaders. All of this would occur, ideally, in a recreational camping environment that would foster a lot of interaction and activities for each child and youth. Program activities: Swimming and tubing. Paddle a canoe on the chosen rivers/lakes and camp out under the stars. Low ropes course. Diverse outdoor games. Arts & crafts. Hike different mountains. Evening Bonfires. Shopping in Old Forge and Inlet. Campers will create skits for Parents Night; Parents Night is offered at the end of the program, and family members are invited to come and watch their childs skits. Quadcopter Aerial Robotics - British International School of Charlotte
Campers will explore aerial robotics technology with fun and engaging educational scenarios and challenges. This camp offers aviation flight skills and interactive robotics training, and encourages camper interest in the career fields of Science, Math, and Engineering. Campers will build prototypes with the new technology and run test scenarios for safety, search, and rescue. Multiple teams of four will apply technology and planning to build a quad rotor designed for a specific first responder mission. Missions include: delivering pharmaceuticals to people in a disaster area, maneuvering the copter close to a (mock) hazardous waste container, and searching for a lost hiker. Interested in learning the ropes of being in a musical or maybe youre a theater veteran and just cant get enough of the stage? Whatever your experience come join us for our mini production camps this summer. Session I explores songs and dances from the Oz stories of musical theater: The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked. Session II explores songs & scenes from Shrek Jr. Camp focuses on putting the production together as well as healthy vocal/singing production with dance combinations and character development while learning to seamlessly combine these disciplines.
