FCYD Camp is proof positive that being diagnosed with diabetes means you have to live a sheltered life. We tried to tell that to our daughter all the time but she never really embraced the idea until she found herself surrounded by kids in her same situation. Campers will get down and dirty learning about bees while building wooden beehives at the Red River Valley Fair. Campers will learn how to construct our precut beehive building stations: box station, framing station and painting station. In-between building beehives, a bee specialist will teach the campers about bees and their habitat. Request t-shirt size on the registration form. Meet at the Schollander Information Building. SummerART Camp Full Day Pottery Program 9:30am to 5pm Pottery Camp with Painting Studio Session III: July 25 to August 5 Pottery Camp This camp is for children who are interested specifically in working with clay to create pottery, sculpture, and more. Campers are grouped in age-specific classes (6 to 8, and 9 to 12). Campers will have the opportunity to use the Museums diverse collection of Native American pottery as inspiration. Much of the work created in Pottery Camp will be kiln fired, some will be functional, some will be decorative, and all of it will be treasured for years to come. Much of this artwork will be displayed at the receptions in Leir Hall at the end of each session.
