Each day will feature a lesson and an interactive demonstration on different groups of animals, reptiles, amphibians, and insects (different group every day) Live animals will be brought into class each day. On Friday only of this week we will be going to Rock Springs and herping and activity in which we search for animals in their natural environments. Students will work with clay and learn basic sculptural techniques, including modeling, adding and taking away material. Students will work from objects as models or from their imagination, creating both abstract and figurative sculptures. Learn how to construct light armature as well as techniques for constructing hollow cylinders and spheres and cuboids as the base of their forms.
