Calling all scientists! I KNOW SCIENCE brings together FUN and EXPLORATION by providing weekly labs that focus on important science concepts through hands-on experiments children love. I Know Science encourages children to discover through engaging activities. These are some of the experiments that our research-based curriculum offers: Building a Solar Powered Car; Chemical Reactions; Creepy Crawlies; Magnets; Ecosystems; Simple Machines; Our Magnificent Solar System and many more... KIDS CAMP- Midwest Women's Herbal Kids Camp - Almond, WI
Kids Herbal Camp offers children the opportunity to attend the MWHC while learning about herbs through age appropriate activities. The Kids Camp offers guardians the opportunity to attend the conference along with the children in their lives. Guardians will be able to attend classes kid-free and know that their children are also being exposed to plant wisdom. Kids Herbal Camp is for children ages 3 – 11 (boys and girls are welcome to participate) and activities will be planned according to ages. This year the kids Herbal Camp is run by Heidi Huebner, founder and steward of Blue Bird Hill Homestead in Hudson, WI. Kristine Brown will be offering a workshop session for the kids too! CentrKid Camp Meeting - Glen Allen, VA
Eric and I will be getting everyone together in the New Fellowship Hall for one last meeting before we go to camp. We will re-visit each camps departure and return times, money that is needed, packing lists, camp commissioning services, rules and expectations etc. If you have not turned in your paperwork or deposits, this will be your last opportunity to do so. If you still need your paperwork notarized, I will take care of that for you at the meeting. All Chaperones, Parents and Campers are welcome. The CentriKid Camp has four openings if your camper would like to invite their friend. Non Hunton Campers will need to pay the full fee for camp of $336. Please let me know by this Sunday's meeting as I will need to drop these 4 slots by May 1st if we are not going to use them. If you have any questions call/text me at 387-7111.

Join us Monday and Tuesday at 5:30 pm for our 4th annual Kid's Art Camp! Drop them off to us, do your shopping, have a date with your honey then pick them up two hours later! Ages 5-14 Cost is $60 for 2 nights per child or $35 per night for one child. We will be painting on canvas, creating glass art and learning about famous artists! Light snack each night! Kid's Campout with the Prickly Pear Living History Museum - San Antoni
Do you want to help your kids build a connection to nature, but aren’t sure how? Do you struggle to get them away from screens? On March 19th and 20th Government Canyon State Natural Area and the Prickly Pear Living History Museum will be co-hosting a camping event for kids ages 10-16 and their parents. No screens allowed, but no one will be bored. Instead, we’ll talk about how local Native Americans survived and thrived in the same places we now call our home. For hands-on learning we’ll have reproduction tools, weapons, and natural resources for everyone to explore. Along the way, kids discover how to be hike leaders and why it’s important to be good caretakers of the land. We’ll provide most of the equipment. Maximum of two kids and two adults per group, so that more kids can enjoy the experience. Space is limited to 12 people. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED! Our last event filled up fast. All of this would occur, ideally, in a recreational camping environment that would foster a lot of interaction and activities for each child and youth. Program activities: Swimming and tubing. Paddle a canoe on the chosen rivers/lakes and camp out under the stars. Low ropes course. Diverse outdoor games. Arts & crafts. Hike different mountains. Evening Bonfires.
