2016 Teen Safe Driving Camp - Forsyth, GA
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, will be holding the 9th annual Safe Driving Camp for ages 15-17. The one day camp will teach new drivers about the consequences of distracted driving, the dangers of driving impaired, tips for defensive driving, skid recovery techniques, safety at railroad crossings, and demonstrate important vehicle maintenance practices. The camp will take place at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center from 9:00am until 4:30pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Anyone wishing to attend must complete the application and return it to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office either in person or by mail. Deadline for applications is Friday, July 01, 2016. Applications may be picked up at the Monroe County Sheriff's Office during normal business hours. Space is limited.
Camp Hope 5K Fun Run/ Walk & Kids' Hero Dash - Gibsonville, NC
This is our first annual 5K to raise money for Camp Hope! Camp Hope is a ministry dear to our hearts. Each year we raise the money to take children to camp, so there is no cost to their family. All monies raised at this event will go directly to Camp Hope to cover costs for this year's camp. Please share with all your friends and family!! Thank you!! Come dressed as your favorite superhero! **There will also be a KID'S HERO DASH! Make this a family event!! Kids can support their parents and when they've finished....Parents, you can support your children dressed as their favorite superhero, cape and all! **

This class does not use games to engage kids in engineering/science concepts. Students learn thinking and reasoning skills needed for success. Engineering Fun engages children to apply what they know about science and math through hands on activities are based on real-world technologies and problems, they help children see how disciplines like math and science are relevant to their life.
