Well build programs, games, and animations using Scratch: the drag-and-drop, color-coded, event driven programming block editor, and create some epic 3D structures using the latest computer-aided design software (CAD). Young makers will learn the fundamentals of programming with this fun introduction from the MIT Media Lab including if/then statements, loop structures, data variables, mathematical and Boolean operators. These skills will be applied to create games as we explore design concepts such as objective, aesthetic, and difficulty curves. Makers will also design 3D objects and structures in TinkerCAD and learn the fundamental skills industrial designers, architects, and engineers use to design everything from toys and phones to robots and cars. 212-712-6230

Join us on Saturday, May 21 for our annual Kid’s Fishing Day at Camp Grace, sponsored by Team Jesus Ministries, led by Terry Chupp here in Mobile. All fishing equipment will be furnished and the first 300 kids will receive a free rod and reel. The event will feature air-ups, face painting and plenty of fun for the whole family. Full Day Camp Full day camps provide an excellent opportunity for junior golfers to improve their technical skills as well as develop strong course management skills. Participants are placed in smaller groups based on their experience level in order to create the most favorable learning environment possible. Each day kicks off with three hours of hands-on instruction and includes drills, training exercises, and skill-development inspired games all designed to reach juniors what they need to know to have fun and feel confident on the course.
