Instructor: Roger Finch This course is for students who want to weld steel that is 1/8 inch thick and up. At their own workstation, the students will learn M.I.G. Welding, Torch Brazing and Plasma cutting. These skills can be used to create anything from Garden Art to building a utility trailer. Each class will include theory, demonstration, and individual hands-on instruction. All basic supplies, including the Welders Manual by Roger Finch and the Victor Welding Guide are included in the materials fee and supplied on Class #1. Rise Up Florida High School Retreat November 6-8, 2015 Word of Life Retreat Center Hudson, Florida Join us as we welcome the band Lost & Found to join us for Rise Up Florida as one of their last stops on their farewell tour. This event is for both those who attended the Gathering and for those who were not able to attend. It will equip and re-ignite those who were at the Gathering to "bring the Gathering home" and to provide a feel of the Gathering to those who were not able to be there. Utilizing some of the resources, video and music from the Gathering and adding in some of our own, we will encourage youth to examine their story and the story of their community and congregation and to explore how God might be calling them to tell His story and affect change where they see injustice. AMP Camp Session 5 - SCDS
Would your children benefit from an early introduction to the upcoming middle school curriculum? Then the Amp Camp is just what they need. The Amp Camp, led by SCDS Middle School Learning Specialist, Mr. Benjamin Ford, will help set your child up for success. During Amp Camp 6th, 7th, and 8th grade campers will learn how to implement specialized study strategies to help them be more confident and better prepared for middle school. Each student will gain insight on how to be more organized and thoughtful about their study habits while also getting a jump start on the best way to engage challenging concepts and content. Amp Camp is a great way to help students prepare for their re-entry to school. Amp Camp is open to SCDS and non-SCDS students. Arts on the River Camp - MacPhail Center for Music - Minneapolis
$225 for members of participating organizations; $250 for non-members Come to our waterfront to play music, get creative, bake bread and construct books while exploring the theme of "water." Children enjoy new experiences each day at four top arts centers, including the Guthrie Theater, Mill City Museum, Minnesota Center for Book Arts and MacPhail Center for Music. Campers will start each day at Mill City Museum and walk with camp leaders less than three blocks to each art organization.
