40 Years of Camp Goddard - Reunion (SouthMac) - Sulphur, OK
This is a TENTATIVE event page to see who would be interested in heading to Goddard Youth Camp for a weekend in June 2016. Please invite everyone that you know who has attended "Camp Goddard" through South MacArthur Church of Christ to like this event and the Facebook page. This Reunion will be open to all ages and families are encouraged to come together! There is enough cabin space for 210 people. Cabin spaces will be available in groups of 10 on a first come, first served basis. Restrictions: Older couples or those with major medical issues will be given cabin preference if they would prefer not to sleep in tents/RV's. Camping with tents/RV's will be a slightly cheaper option than cabins because we may be expecting more than 210 people. Spend an amazing week with art teacher extraordinaire Marki Watson. Delve into new materials, skills, techniques, and much more. We will work in a variety of mediums, including sculpting clay, polymer clay, printing and bookmaking, to name a few. Campers will have the opportunity to elaborate on existing projects and explore new ones. Dont miss this opportunity to follow your artistic muse in a relaxed and creative environment! Caldwell Academy - Ages 10-12 - Virtual Reality Level 2 - Caldwell Academy
Virtual Reality Level 2 Delve into science of Virtual Reality when you create your own video games and virtual worlds. Discover how to make fun and engaging worlds that can be explored on a PC, phone, or tablet. Learn the proper workflow to create custom environments, objects and player challenges. Plus, youll explore the basics of game scripting, so you control every aspect of the game. You will also take home a Google Cardboard, a portable VR viewer that can be used with your phone to view the worlds you create! Students must bring their own phone to use. Beginner/Intermediate Golf Camp - South Germantown Driving Range
This half-day camp is just the ticket for kids 6-14 years old who have expressed interest in and/or shown a talent for golf, but arent quite ready to play a full round. With the help of a Montgomery County Golf Academy instructor, campers will practice putting, chipping, driving and using irons and woods Monday-Thursday at the Driving Range. On Friday, theyll compete in a small tournament at a nearby golf course. Itll be a blast for juniors, and a great way to develop the skills needed to start playing golf with the family. All Skills Camp II - Yum Center
All Skills camp will focus on developing and improving the fundamentals of volleyball. Passing, serving, setting, defense, attacking, blocking as well as team systems and competition. Camp check in begins at 8:15a on July 6th and camp sessions run from 9:00a-12:00p and 1:00-3:30p daily. Lunch & t-shirt included. Lego Action Jrs. - The Surge Community Center
This camp is for the younger LEGO fan that is just getting into LEGO. JRS will learn basic building techniques, play building oriented games, and create from their own imagination. Projects like building racecars, animals, mosaics are few of the things the children will work on. Action LEGOs puts fun in motion as students learn how to use gears, motors, potential energy and balance to create numerous contraptions. Through the excitement of building, our summer camp students understand how gears translate motion and how different types of energy can propel vehicles and machines. After each building project, summer camp kids customize, share, and enjoy playing with their creations. Kids have many opportunities free building, playing Lego games creating their own amazing projects. We are focused on active learning because the development of the brain is so important in the early years and research proves that children learn by doing. We have a unique ability to excite and motivate kids to grasp programming and engineering concepts, yet we also place equal emphasis on celebrating STEM education and creativity.
