Wild Outdoors Adventure Nature Camp July 5th – 7th 9am – 4pm $245 Ages 8+ *limited participants to go in our Snake ECO Van Campers will experience the wild outdoors with this specialty camp. They will spend the day at one of our local parks (Kinder Farm, Quiet Waters/Downs Park, Sandy Point). We will be hitting the trails and learning compass, navigation, survival, & animal tracking skills. Knot tying is also in order for this camp. Campers will get a chance to go fishing and make their very own fishing poles. Try your luck at crabbing and maybe even kayaking? Set up turtle traps and help with turtle research at Kinder Farm Park, then make a splash with catching critters through seining and seeing what is out in our own Chesapeake Bay. The Art of Cubism: Clay Reliefs - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
This class will explore cubist artist such as Picasso and Braque. Students will create their very own cubist work of art in clay while learning basic techniques of using slabs to create 3/D form. Students will learn basic and intermediate techniques of slab application, handbuilding, texture application, and glass fusion into clay. Students will complete the class with their very own cubist inspired clay relief wall art. A $15 materials fee is required for this course. 302 239-2434 x120
Boys Lacrosse week 7 - Knott Hall
Coach Ben Rubeor will run the 2016 Loyola Lacrosse Camp. Ben was named the USA Today National Coach of the Year and the Maryland Private School Coach of the Year after winning the 2015 MIAA ‘A Conference Championship. Ben was a three-time All-American attackman, two-time Academic All-American, and two-time team captain at the University of Virginia, where he won an undefeated National Championship in 2006. He was also named the ACCs Top Male Scholar Athlete in 2008. He played 8 seasons of professional lacrosse, served as a team captain of the Chesapeake Bayhawks, and won 3 Major League Lacrosse titles. He will lead a staff of Loyola coaches and players to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun and competitive environment. The camp is designed for all levels of players. Campers will learn individual skills, including stickwork, footwork, dodging, shooting, and individual defense. Campers will practice these drills in an up-tempo environment. In addition, campers will learn team concepts and compete in a number of game-like situations, and they will have the opportunity to earn a number of prizes.
