Thanks to John "Jack" Wachlarowicz (SCV-MDHA Board of Directors & MN DNR Hunter Education Instructor) and his professional instructors and the MN DNR, this is a weeks opportunity of a lifetime for any kid!!! Featured Field Trip - St. Paul Saints Baseball Game, St. Paul FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9am-4pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7am and picked up as late as 6pm. Youth Football Camp - Pawhuska, OK
Big T Sports and Athletics Youth Football Camp. Non-Contact camp for youth entering grades 1-6 in Fall 2015. Former College (OU and OSU) and NFL players (Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, and Cleveland Browns) will be on site coaching drills, stations, and interacting with campers. Cost is $85 per camper which includes T-shirt, water bottle, cinch pack, lunch, and registration. Camp is July 25th, 2015 from 8:30 to 3 p.m. in Pawhuska, OK at Pawhuska High School Football Field. Kids Play in the Clay (Ages 5-8) - Peninsula Fine Arts Center
Beginning students will learn basic skills involved with handbuilding in clay. This includes coil and slab built work, and basic sculpting techniques will also be covered as needed. All students will explore adding color using our selection of under glazes and colorful studio glazes. Tuition includes clay, glazes and firing fees. Class will meet: 01/17, 01/24, 02/07, and 02/14. Week Seven: Architecture Camp/ Space 2 (Ages 3-6) - PeaPods SchoolHouse
3,2,1...Blast off into outer space! Well be creating and building things that have to do with space. Campers will explore, experiment, create and interact to create a world beyond ours. Hands-on activities will include, building a rocket ship, making planets, and participating in the Astronaut Challenge! 603-703-1408
Adventure Camp - Week 5 - The Greenwell Foundation
Adventure Camp (ages 8-12 by first day of camp session). Why is Adventure Camp different? Campers are provided the opportunity to explore further into the park with longer hikes, shelter building, and learning how to build a campfire – and then Smores! Part of Adventure Camp is letting the group direct what activities they would like to do by coming up with new and exciting adventures. The staff has the freedom to be creative when making these fun adventures come to life. Campers will have an opportunity to kayak twice during the week, including a visit to the Hollywood Oyster Company. They will create and run their own unique obstacle course, go fishing and crabbing from the pier, and build their own boats out of recycled materials and test to see if they are sea-worthy. Mid-week, campers will hike to the Manor House area where they can build forts with bamboo, explore the gardens, play water games and capture the flag, visit the Barn and participate in our Nature Time program. Each afternoon, campers are provided an afternoon snack and each week there is a chance to make Smores. The week ends with Tye-Dye Friday for a take-home memory of... 301-373-9775
Little Stars - Musical Theatre - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp is an introduction to musicals that allows campers to experience what its like to tell a story through music. We will tell stories through original songs based on common fairytales with each child getting an opportunity to have lines, sing, and dance. Campers will play fun theatre games that will help them get more comfortable in social situations through using their imagination and creativity. These young performers will get the unique experience of being able to perform on a stage. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE has been teaching theater for 8 years and has been choreographing in local community theaters for the past 10 years. He recently received a BA in Theater and Dance from Christopher Newport University. He currently works as a Music and Movement Teacher at VHBC Preschool as well as teaches classes at LTA, Mount Vernon REC Center, and Browne Academy. He teaches private acting, dancing, and guitar lessons from his home. He is happy to have been given the position of Summer Camp Director this year and hopes to make a positive educational experience for all summer camp students. 7036835778 x2
