Science and fun go together in this weeklong exploration of principles like, gravity, astronomy, robotics, magnetics and stretchy rubber materials. We will be working with rubber bands and finding the limits of their stretch, doing marble painting, testing materials for the sink and float properties and building your own robot using Legos. This camp is a creative combination of art and space. Campers will use visual arts to explore the final frontier! Two dimensional projects, such as drawing, painting, and collage, will focus on design elements such as color, line, and shape. Using clay, campers will take inspiration from textures and patterns found in space when they learn the basics of hand building techniques and out-of-this-world wheel throwing. Grades 3-8 A week of advanced training for more experienced players, this camp will improve agility, balance and coordination through a series of individual ball mastery exercises. Highly-qualified British coaches will emphasize skill development and mastery of core techniques through individual and small-group practice and games. Players will learn and practice ways to turn, fake and beat opponents as well as master lifts and balances to improve their touch, control and confidence with the ball.
