The Perfect Vacation
I have to admit that when we dropped our son off at Camp Kentahten my husband and I were a little bit jealous. We had planned our own mini-vacation to coincide with our son's summer camp stay but we were going to my parents. I would much rather stay at one of those gorgeous lakefront rooms. All kids up to age 18 welcome, no charge for current EquQuest horsemanship students; $250 for new students Camp dates are March 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18; 10 AM to 1 PM each day. Kid's learn to catch their own horse, tack it up, do ground work and ride (as age and confidence level appropriate). Get's them outside in sunshine and fresh air, helps them develop compassion for animals and puts them in touch with nature. Bring sunscreen, water and a snack. Call Michelle Clarke with any questions (512-868-7638) Equipment (except for riding helmets and boots) and horses provided. Please, no bicycle helmets.

Parents, Cub Leaders, Scoutmasters, Campers: Stop in at any time from 11-3 to find out what is new and to chat with key members of the camp staff! This will also be the event that Fundraising Camp Cards will be distributed to participating Units.The event may include: A Laser Shooting Gallery, Nerf Archery, FREE giveaways as well as other activities!
Final Summer 2016 Kid's Riding Camp - Georgetown, TX
Sign up now for our last riding camp of the summer for children ages 3 - 18. Camps are half days, and kids learn about safety first, equipment, horses and riding in our soft-sand enclosed and covered round pen and enclosed outdoor arena. Kid's are outside getting exercise in the sunshine and fresh air, learning a new skill, having fun, and gaining in self-confidence. What could be better? All classes taught by Eric Clarke, horseman and natural horsemanship clinician with 35+years experience as a professional horse and people trainer, assisted by several of his horsemanship apprentices. Class size is limited. All equpment and horses provided, except for boots (with a bit of a heel please; no sneakers) and helmets (no bicycle helmets). Siblings may share helmets as needed. Camp is half-days, 9 AM - Noon. Cost is $150 for the three day camp; current EquQuest horsemanship program students are FREE! Call Pat Gleason at 512-965-1380 to register and click "Going" here.
