Movement & Art Camp - Friendswood, TX
Kid Creations & Bay Area Pilates are teaming up for another 3-hour Movement & Art Camp. Kids will have FUN learning the benefits of pilates in a choreographed-for-kids pilates class for one hour and then will be escorted down the sidewalk to Kid Creations for two hours of arts and crafts. Snacks will be provided. Workshops can be attended separately. The cost is $45 for both. To come to Kid Creations alone from 1:00-3:00pm, the cost is $30. Alive Kid's Camp - McKinney, TX
Kid's Camp is just around the corner for kids ages 8-12. We will be headed to the district camp this year, called Alive Kid's Camp. We are looking forward to meeting kids from other churches, having life-changing spiritual experiences during the services, and lot of fun activities during the day. Daytime activities will include: swimming, lake activities, paddleboats, ziplining, rock climbing wall, and messy team games. Our week long Junior Golf Camp is offered each week during the summer. Juniors golfers will learn or improve their golf game. During the week, the instructors will cover each aspect of the game of golf. Juniors will receive 35 hours of supervised practice and instruction. Felted Bags and Purses - Artists Exchange
This 4 week workshop will focus on making bags and purses using a resist method of wet felting. For many, felt is a crafting material sold in squares made out of some mish-mosh of synthetic fibers. Felting is actually extremely natural and is one of the most ancient art forms in mankinds history. It is still a widely used method which can create anything from clothing to toys and even houses. In this class, students will learn the basic process of wet felting which creates wool fabric by layering raw wool fibers, adding warm soapy water and a little elbow grease. This is an inter-generational class. The felting process is simple but can be very versatile which makes it a great opportunity for parents and children to work together side by side. Beginning Traditional Strings (Fridays) - Viewpoint School
The Beginning Traditional Strings class is for students in Third and Fourth Grade who have no experience and wish to play violin, viola, cello or bass in a traditional class setting. The class will focus on proper instrument posture, note reading and repertoire from the Essential Elements for Strings. These weekly, hour-long lessons include a snack and short break.
