Check out our Kid's Summer Cooking Camp! Jr.Chefs warm up the kitchen as they're taught the finer points of food preparation, keeping a clean work space, recipes & measuring ingredients… all while having fun! Kids will learn to make delicious appetizers, amazing salads, mouth-watering sauces, yummy breakfast dishes and favorites such as pasta, vegetables, rice, potatoes, fish, meats, and soups. Yes, there will be desserts, too! Each class is three hours of hands-on cooking! During the last half hour everyone sits down to enjoy the food hat they’ve made. Second annual kids do Strollfit class. All kids are welcome to bring their baby stroller, lawn mower, anything they can push and they will do their own Strollfit class. Prizes will be given for best decorated vehicle/push item. I will assign older kids an exercise to teach to the other kids (generally 4 and up). Moms, please help them and practice with them. Sizzling Music, Latin Dance & Culture Adventure Week We make it easy for our campers to learn the basic dance steps of traditional dances of Columbia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Perú, Chile & more. Campers gain geographical, cultural and artistic awareness of South American countries through exposure to their music, food and dance forms. Additionally campers learn how to move to new rhythms. No prior dance training required. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook, play sports and discover the joys of learning Spanish through engaging activities. Theme vocabulary includes colors, counting, verbs, nouns related to instruments, adjectives, sounds, tastes and places. This summer, give your children four days at Windrush Farm. It is an outdoor experience your child will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Children will learn about ranch animals and how to take care of them. They will meet chickens, goats, sheep, cows, llamas, and our favorite dogs. They collect eggs from the chickens and work in the vegetable gardens, learning where their food comes from besides the grocery store. Exploring in the pond, crafting farm art, working with wool, and making barn shaking music are a few of the activities your children take part in.
