Summer 5 Days of Knight Camp for Kids - Battle of Agincourt - Portland
Kids day camp for the week of Aug 22nd through Aug. 26th Ages 7 through 12 - or first grade and up. Camp runs Monday through Thursday- 9:30am to 3:30pm Children should pack a lunch or bring money to buy food at the Subway in our parking lot. Before and after care are available for an additional fee - see below. Camp must be pre-registered. There are no refunds however arrangements can be made to transfer registration to a different child. Our program is focused on teaching historical arts connected to the martial culture of Europe in the time of the crusades and beyond to the 16th century. We teach history and real world skills related to the time and culture of Knighthood. This this course we will focus on the Battle of Agincourt.... a decisive time in history. The invasion took a muster of troops... a ship voyage... and then an overland campaign. This past year saw the Anniversary celebration of the Battle at European battle sites and museums. Week 5 After Care - Ann Arbor Art Center
Extends the care of your child after camp if you are unable to pick them up at 4:00pm. Post care covers a two hour time period from 4:00 to 6:00pm The flat fees for Pre-Camp Care and/or Post-Camp Care cover the entire week and do not vary with the number of days your child actually attends. We provide Pre-Camp and Post-Camp care as a convenient option for working parents. Due to the limited number of spaces available, we do not pro-rate. We understand that sometimes plans change or things come up, and we try to accommodate emergency pre or post camp needs where possible. 4th - 9th grades- Tennis Camp for Intermediate Players - Saint Marys School
This camp is a week long session where players are expected to have previous tennis experience. The players will be grouped by skill level and will be given the opportunity to improve their skills in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. The daily schedule will consist of match play, drills, competitive games, individual time with the coaches, footwork training, strategic thinking, and pool time. Players will work on the following: groundstrokes, volleys, overheads, serves, singles and doubles play. Each day Players will learn new techniques and different ways to approach their opponent in a match. Players will be faced with constant challenges in a way that will only increase their passion for tennis. This camp will help further develop the players skills, giving them the confidence to continue playing tennis. Hannah Jones, a member of the Saint Marys School class of 2016, will be leading this summers Tennis Academy. She has been playing tennis since she was a young girl and has a passion for this sport. Hannah has been on the SMS Varsity tennis team for three years and is also involved with many extracurricular activities in and outside of school. Girls Field Hockey - Brookwood School
Fall 2016 will be here before we know it and Field Hockey Tune-Up gives the foundation to be ready for the season. Skill development, fitness training, and teamwork are hallmarks of this established program. Basic skills, stick handling, rules, and field positions are taught through drills and game play. Rigorous conditioning, "eating to play," and strategies for rest and recovery are all part of the program; athletes learn to prepare not just for a single season, but for a life of physical activity. Coach Mike Wellington teaches physical education at Brookwood School. He serves as a U.S.A.
