Day Camp-Roswell III - Fellowship Christian School
This weeks theme is Jurassic Journey. Dinosaurs come back to life! Journey through time back 65 million years, when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Fossils, volcanoes and dinos all help campers explore the Jurassic world. Dinosaur week, engages campers through interesting and motivating activities. Campers will practice many social skills planned around their needs and skills to promote friendship building, cooperation, teamwork, and interaction skills. Campers will enjoy fun activities centered on social interaction, cooperative play, conversation skills, turn taking, and many more skills appropriate for their age and ability level. COURSE Campers will be using a software program from MIT called Scratch. The program was designed for children, and teaches them the basics of programming as they create animated stories, video games, and interactive artwork. Using colorful programming blocks, campers drag and snap together the blocks to make a character (Sprite) walk, speak, play music, or interact with other sprites. 404-932-2552

This class begins with essential lessons for to empower new knitters. Lessons will include choosing supplies, reading instructions, casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off. Using these basic techniques, participants will learn how to create different knitting patterns using the knit and purl techniques, including seed stitch, ribbing, stockinette, and garter. By the end of the class, the students will have created a scarf using techniques learned in the class. (201) 427-1458
