From Saturday Night Live, to Second City, to classic TV comedy shows such as Carol Burnett and films such as Monty Python, comedy sketch has always been an important form of acting. Saturday Theater will present a series of classic comedy scenes featuring these classics. We will present infamous sketches from Carol Burnetts comedy show such as the Gone with the Breeze scene, As the Stomach Turns soap opera as well as Old Folks. We will do spoofs on famous TV shows such as Gypardy with Alex Payback, Star Schmeck with Schlock, Scooty, & Captain Quirk, Lifestyles of the Drab and Ridiculous. Other sketches include Lisa & Leonardo, Barbie and Ken break-up, & the Ninja Sisters and more. Youth Aquatics Holiday Camp (Dec. 19 - Jan. 6) - Sarasota, FL
Nathan Benderson Park's Youth Aquatics Holiday Camp gives your child the opportunity to learn on the lake! Campers will learn to kayak, row, dragon boat, stand up paddleboard, RC sailboat control, and powerboat safety. 3 sessions are offered to meet the needs of your family: Week 1: December 19 - 22 Week 2: December 27 - 30 Week 3: January 3 - 6 Camp runs from 9AM to noon each day Ages 10 to 18 $120 for a one week session (Before and after care are available for an additional fee) Each day your child will receive morning instruction on land before going on the water. Campers must wear sandals with heel straps, dress in layers, bring a healthy snack, water bottle, hat and SUNSCREEN. Certain age restrictions apply for boaters safety course. Hogwarts of Fairhope presents the Hogsmeade Halloween Festival! Join the Professors and Staff for a fun afternoon of Halloween and Harry Potter themed games, crafts and fun! Come in costume to enjoy Trick or Treating as we transform Homestead Village into Hogsmeade, the legendary all-wizard community in the Harry Potter books. Instructor: Red Cross Especially for young people 11-15 years old, this course give participants the knowledge, skills, and confidence to care for infants though school-aged children.
