A Safe and Fun Place
Nowadays you're always cautious when it comes to placing your kids in the care of other adults. Thankfully there is Bishop Stoney Camp. One visit was all it took to put my mind at ease. I knew letting our boys go there for soccer camp was a good call. The counselors took good care of them making sure they didn't get into trouble and stayed focus on having wholesome fun. Kid's Do Strollfit - Norman, OK
Join us after class for our special, annual Kid's Do Strollfit Class. All kids are welcome to bring a push toy (stroller, lawn mower, grocery cart, etc.). They can put a doll or stuffed animal in it to ride around. After class, the kids will do their own verson of Baby Boot Camp - Norman. It is sooooo cute. They learn so much by watching us, why not let them show off? Older Kids (usually age 3ish...), here is the list of exercises you can teach. Moms, please work with your child and help them show the exercise to the group and then do 5 reps. Sebastian: High Knees Whitely: Burpees Lanie: squats Cooper: push ups Who else wants to teach??? Just let me know and I will add them and their exercise. Also!! There is a prize for the best decorated push toy!!
TCTA Teen Theatre Camp Session 2 - Austin, TX
We are still looking for some interested teens for the TCTA Theatre Arts Program! ages 12-18 It's free, there are 2 sessions at 2 different locations June 13-July 8 @ Hancock Recreation Center July 11- Aug. 5 @ Doris Miller Auditorium Monday - Friday 1-5PM Write, direct, perform and tour to other camps a contemporary performance piece that will include written word, dance, puppetry, etc. The Artists we have hired for the camp have an extensive performance and technical background. You will be taking tours of local theatre spaces and seeing performances around town. This is truly a unique experience if you have an interest in the theatre arts and performance art. Star Wars Lightsabre Camp! - OFFSITE
Learn to become a young Jedi in this week long all encompassing Star Wars Camp! Kids will get to use high end replica lightsabres to stage battles, complete obstacle courses, take down the Death Star and more over the course of the week! The week is broken up into half lightsabre training and half other kinds of Jedi Training. Using modern Neuroscience, we use functional neurology concepts to create drills to improve campers balance, speed, athleticism, and vision. All as they get better at ?using the force.? Bring your creativity, enthusiasm, and community spirit as we spend a week immersed in woodworking! Campers will learn about a variety of tools and techniques as they turn original project ideas into reality. Students will also participate in a service project partnering with students at the St. Aquinas Center in South Philly. Possible projects may include constructing a stool, a box, a bookshelf, birdhouse, musical instrument, a game, and more! Campers will work individually and collaboratively to plan, measure, cut, build, and decorate their projects using basic hand tools. Safety and proper use of protective eyewear will be stressed at all times, as campers work with saws, drills, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers. Woodworking experience is not required; all that is needed is a desire to learn new skills and have fun! Early drop off is available at no additional cost from 8:00am-9:00am.
