WHAT IS GIRLS ROCK CAMP? Girls Rock Camp is an intensive one-week day camp offered to girls ages 6-15 at The Garden Street Academy, M-F, 9-3 pm, where campers of all skill levels have the opportunity to learn guitar, bass, drums, vocals, or other instruments. Campers will also form a band, write an original song, and perform at the Final Showcase for friends, families, and fans! In addition to all this, campers will have the opportunity to meet other girls and female musicians and mentors, as well as participate in enrichment activities such as workshops on media literacy or screen-printing. GRSB! welcomes campers that identify as female, trans, and gender-nonconforming. 805-861-8128

Ocean Explorers (Week 3 AM) - Lore & Lures - NESS
Have fun learning about fish and fishing while using maps, engineering, fisheries research, and innovative design while constructing a fishing rig. Use dip nets, a cast net, rod & reel, and fish traps to provide background for biological observations. Look to the past to explore the ocean lore of mermaids, sea monsters, and giant squid as well as glacial and fresh water influence. Perform a fish dissection and learn more about fishing in the past, present, and future. Includes: fishing, engineering, boat trips, & snorkel adventures 860-535-9362
Strider Push Bike Camp - Cottonwood Creek Park
This is where it all begins! Learning fun and balance as young as 2 years old, kids and families spend 45 minutes doing age appropriate games and skills in order to achieve proper balance and steering skills. Strider (push bike) camp is geared toward kids who are walking with their bikes, not fully sitting on the seat and not yet gliding or striding. But, it is also for those kids who are ready to learn how to turn, stop and maneuver obstacles. Parents will be hands on during this class. We will also work on team skills such as passing, team defense, corners and much more. Players will have a chance to develop and improve their field hockey ability through drills and games.
