(T) 2016 Youth Leaders Summit (T) - Shepherdsville, KY
Tentatively scheduled for 29-31 January 2016, the Youth Leaders Summit, or YLS, is a consolidated Troop JLT that is conducted annually - the 2016 event will take place at Camp Crooked Creek. YLS should be attended by youth in the rank of 2nd Class or above and be newly elected leaders, or expected to become leaders within their troop. The training emphasizes YOUTH leadership of a troop, the Patrol Method, youth leadership positions and duties, basic problem solving and other principles of youth leading youth. Class size is limited to 30 Scouts, so be sure to register early!

Friday, Jul 11-15, 9:00am -3:00pm (M-TH); 9:00am-12:00pm (F) Location: Fairfax High School Field House (Gym) Led by former Washington Wizards forward Awvee Storey and his experienced staff, the camp will feature professional instruction for boys and girls, with the instruction designed for the specific skill level of the participants. Coach Storey was a standout collegiate basketball player at Arizona State University, before continuing his playing career professionally in the NBA with the Wizards, New Jersey Nets, and Milwaukee Bucks. Storey also competed professionally internationally in New Zealand and the Philippines. The instruction will focus on the game?s fundamentals, while instilling the importance of commitment, teamwork, character, and sportsmanship helping each camper reach his/her full potential. Teen Camp Session 2 - Bolles Whitehurst Campus
Bolles Teen Camp provides exciting activities that will challenge the energies of campers that are entering grades 7 and 8. This fantastic camp is a great way for teens to get out of the house and meet new friends. Teen Camp will utilize the facilities of the beautiful and spacious Bolles San Jose Campus with activities taking place in the swimming pool, gymnasium, athletic fields and the St. Johns River. In addition to experiencing fun-filled days of canoeing, kayaking, boating, tubing, swimming, sports, archery and arts and crafts our teens will enjoy a weekly fun field trip off campus to either the movies, bowling alley, trampoline park or other location.
