A summer program offered in partnership with the O. Henry Museum... We invite young readers to explore a fantastic novel, take it apart, play around in its pages, admire its sentences and characters and questions, and create new work based on the novel. This workshop is led by a Badgerdog teaching artist (professional writer), and Book Crushers will showcase their work for parents on the final day. In previous years we crushed on Wonder by R.J. Palacio and The Turtle of Oman by Naomi Shihab Nye. Well announce this years title as soon as possible. 512-542-0076

We also have 2 Mission Service openings for ages 15yrs - 17yrs and 2 openings for Co-Counselors In Training 18yrs -19yrs old. We will be having it at Wauaway Springs Christian Retreat Center in Vossburg, MS and we are keeping the cost low. You can start paying deposits in January 2016! See our flyer for more information!

Teen campers will explore and define themselves as artists, learn how to talk about art, give and receive constructive critiques, and create their own portfolio.

Calling all young composers! Heres a camp for you to meet other young composers and share your passion for creating music. Gain the tools you need to grow as a composer. Study the works of living and historic composers to understand how other composers think and solve problems. Receive coaching from MacPhail composition faculty on recent and current works. Hear your compositions performed by professional musicians. You will be asked to submit a score for review prior to the camp. Space is limited, register early! Students in the Composition Camp may opt to also enroll the in the optional Composition Camp Elective: Theory and Counterpoint for an additional fee. This program will also take field trips to the airport, museums and air shows. A $35.00 fee will be due to the instructor on the first day of class for books and equipment.
