FREE- Type 1 Diabetes Teen Camp - Cornville, AZ
JDRF has partnered together with Camp Soaring Eagle to offer a FREE CAMP to Type One Diabetic children ages 8-15 to come experience the healing power of laughter! CSE offers two camper weekends dedicated to T1D kids in a session for Teens and a session for Youth. Youth T1D camp is for kids 8-12 and Teen T1D Camp is for kids 13-15. The camper session runs from Friday-Sunday. CSE provides the campers with opportunity to learn about diabetes management and encourages independent health care. Campers with diabetes feel normal because they see all their peers with the same challenging diagnosis. CSE provides a balanced diet and menu with all carb counts for all meals. Junior tennis is taking over Matthews with new rules and equipment, making it easier than ever to get started and be successful! 2016 Michigan Youth Day Camp - Crisler Center
Campers will be introduced and taught the basic skills of passing, shooting, cutting, dribbling and defense. Instruction will be done with drills, relays, lead-up games and contests. We will use 8-foot and 10-foot baskets to allow campers to experience success. Campers will have fun and enjoy learning the basic fundamentals of basketball. Check-in will begin Monday, July 18, at Crisler Center at 8:30 am. Camp activities will begin right after check-in and camp will be dismissed at 4 pm each afternoon (full-day). Those campers that are staying for the half-day option will be dismissed at 12 pm. Camp will begin each morning at 9 am.
