Project Camp - Camp Judson
For students entering grades 9 and up. Projects will include some major clean-up work, such as clearing brush and building fire lines, fix-up jobs, wood cutting, simple construction and other needed repairs or improvements to camp facilities and grounds. Please bring suitable work gear such as heavy-duty boots or shoes, durable clothing, gloves and rain gear. Project campers must provide their own bedding. The best amongst you is the one who learns Quran and teaches it. Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him. MYGB will continue to offer its Quran program with the hope that this program will help our youth bond with the Quran through this experience Inshallah. By the end of each session of MYGB Quran program participants will have developed: *- greater appreciation of the words of Allah; *- better ability to read and recite the Quran; *- better understanding of some of the basic concepts addressed by the verses repeated in the short chapters. The program will also have a memorization component based on the youths abilities and readiness for memorization. All teachers and volunteers have tremendous experience working with youth in this particular field. Groups will be divided by age and then by competency level. Adventure Camp Week 1 - Butler Campus
Campers will explore mountain biking, climbing, paddle boarding, sailing, and backpacking. Daily experiences will introduce new and exciting adventures on our 140-acre campus and will be enhanced by customized trips focused on specific skills. This camp will enable young teens to challenge themselves individually and in group situations. Time will be spent on the 14 high and low elements offered on Laurels Project Adventure Ropes Course to help foster creative problem solving, promote leadership and build self-confidence through improved communication skills.
