Skills in the visual arts are built in the same way as learning to play a musical instrument or sport: by practicing and training, and by challenging you with new techniques and ideas. In Drawing and Discovery, young artists ages 6-11 will explore fundamental concepts of line, texture, shading, and color through the fun, creative, and age-appropriate projects. Students will try their hand at figure drawing, portraits, volume and perspective, and experiment with professional art materials. Students will work independently or as a group according to their age, level of experience, personal interest and individual artistic style. Note: This class will be offered continuously during the year, allowing students to progressively develop skills in visual literacy, perception and creativity progressively. CYC Camp Rosenthal's 1st Annual Women's Wellness Retreat - Dowagiac, M
Chicago Youth Centers’ Camp Rosenthal is excited to announce its first annual Women's Wellness Retreat April 29th - May 1st 2016. As 21st century women we are constantly juggling the responsibilities of family, work and school. We all deserve some time out for ourselves. Why not take some time to re-connect with yourself and enjoy the fellowship of womanhood at our beautiful camp in Southwestern Michigan. Our women’s only weekend retreat will give you an opportunity to relax in a beautiful and inviting environment, reconnect with your inner self through art, meditation and reflection and allow plenty of time to appreciate sisterhood and enjoy pampering yourself. The weekend package includes lodging, meals and a full program of women centered activities for an all-inclusive fee of $125 per person. Bring a friend and get $5 off the cost of the weekend. All proceeds from the weekend go to our Camper Scholarships Fund that provides life changing experiences for inner city youth. Summer Camps are no-frills, get-a-lot-done, fun-filled social events. We are trying something new this year! We will join Debi Morris at her campground, Traveler’s Woods. There will be no fee to crop and we will plan our potluck meals in advance. Camping is available – Campers with water/sewer/electric are $20.00/night; tents with electric plug are $10.00/night. Showers, a bathhouse, and a pool are available for campers. Optional Friday night add-on to camp. (Provide your own camper or tent, payment upon arrival.) Digital scrappers and card makers welcome at all events too! Join us for Saturday only or Sunday too.

An Artistic Exploration - Old Trail School
Each day is a new adventure! Campers will spend the morning traveling to a variety of locations and enjoy an afternoon creating works of art that directly relate to that days adventure. Campers will visit the magical Akron Civic Theatre, wild Akron Zoo, beautiful Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, fascinating Akron Art Museum and fun Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railway. Day Camp 9-4pm wk 2 - Frankfort Park District
The Fort Frankfort Adventures Summer Day Camp is back for another awesome summer. This camp is designed for children entering 1st - 6th grade this fall. This full day camp will provide plenty of outdoor activities, water days arts & crafts and a feild trip each week. Fort Frankfort Summer Adventures Summer Day Camp will be held a Commisioners Park, located at 22108 S. 80th Ave. in Frankfort. The Frankfort Park District continues its partnership with School District 157C for the use of Chelsea Middle School, which is located next to Commisioners Park. We will use the facility for before and after camp and during inclement weather conditions. The camp will run from 9-4pm, Monday thru Friday, with a bfore and after care option. Bring a lunch and water bottle each day. Luch may be included on certain field trip days.Registration must be done in person at our main office located at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street. INSTRUCTOR Staff

Here are some of the activities you will enjoy at Nerf Battles Camp: Create battle plans and develop strategies while working with a team.
