The KMS Cycling Summer Road Camp is a great way to improve your cycling and learn a lot about the sport. Through a combination of training rides, training races, skills work, drills, gym work, demonstrations and discussions, you will become a better cyclist and, more importantly, learn how continue to improve long after the camp ends. This is not intended to be an easy camp with a lot of down time; rather, it is targeted toward 13 to 16 year-olds who are intrinsically motivated to take their road cycling (i.e. Road Race, Criterium, and Time Trial) to the next level. Expect to be on your bike most of the week! There will be bike fitting, guest appearances from local professional racers, a trip to a local training race, instruction on strength and conditioning (and the importance of rest/recovery), discussion of nutrition/hydration basics, long group rides where we work on peloton riding skills, clinics on cornering, sprinting, pedal stroke, bumping, and other skills, clinics on bike maintenance and set-up, lessons on how to prepare for races, training technology, race tactics, discussions on pathways to the Junior National Team and elite levels of cycling, and more. The Princeton University Middle School Girls Ice Hockey Camp is designed for players (entering grades 6-8) whose aspiration is to get better by working on team and individual skills. This camp is both challenging and fun. Ice sessions will focus on the fundamentals of skill development and power-skating. Players will learn proper body position, edge control, and how to lengthen their stride. Puck protection, passing and scoring will be skills taught. We will explore the many stages of everyday lives through fashion illustrations, beginning with the basic fashion figures (croquis) and color, using multiple mediums, including prints, fabric and textiles, students will imagine how they would dress for current and future life events, and also gain an understanding of the fashion industry, as well as the impact of technology on fashion.
