Middle School Math explores Pre-algebra and problem-solving designed to develop understanding of concepts and skills in preparation for the study of algebra. This course meets for 1-hour per day and is combined with Middle School English for a 2-hour program. Middle School English focuses on the careful reading of quality literary texts. This course will help improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and written composition. Remember when you were growing up and played for hours outside with your friends? Things may have changed since then we are excited to offer a unique camp that adds these type of experiences to your childs summer in a safe and welcoming way. Each day pack a snack in your backpack, wear clothes that can get dirty and lets hit the trail in search of adventures! Activities can vary each day depending on the weather, childrens ages or the groups interests. Examples of some favorite activities from last summer include fishing for crabs from Ringbolt Rock, making found object sail boats or pitching the tent for a day time camp out on Planters Hill. For rising PK boys & girls Catch the Olympic spirit and join us this summer for our Tiny Torches Gymnastics Camp. This camp is designed to introduce the littlest all-stars to the sport of gymnastics in a fun, age-appropriate format. Classes will challenge gross motor skill development such as hopping, skipping, and jumping, enhance balance, improve coordination and introduce fundamental of gymnastics. This camp will include instruction in balance beam & floor exercise. We will emphasize developing strength, flexibility and coordination through daily games, challenges and activities.
