This lovely underwater musical is truly delightful! The circus themed musical plot revolves around the underwater circus band taking a leave of absence to perform at the "Clammies". This leaves the circus without their primary musical act! The story takes us through each sea creatures trials and tribulations as they pursue their dreams of being musicians. Youth in Emergency Preparedness Camp - Weslaco, TX
This summer from June 19, 2016 to June 23, 2016, the Rio Grande Valley Medical Reserve Corps and the Weslaco Fire Department are hosting a Youth Preparedness Camp. The camp is for Rio Grande Valley teenagers between the ages of 14-18. There are three man components of the Youth Preparedness Camp. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training – All camp participants (including the adult sponsor) receive the full basic CERT course complete with certification. The basic CERT program is delivered as one component of camp in an effort to educate youth about disaster preparedness and provide them the skills they need to support local first responders in an emergency situation, if needed. This training includes lessons on fire safety, basic first aid, search and rescue, incident command system (ICS), and disaster psychology, among others. In addition to classroom-based lessons, youth are given ample opportunity to practice their skills through hands-on activities, tabletop discussions, and exercises. The CERT training culminates in a large full-scale exercise in which youth allocate resources, attend to live role playing victims, and interact with real first responders. Week 5 AM - Fishing - NESS
Summer is the best time of year for fishing, but you need the knowledge of fish habits to help narrow down the best fishing areas by boat and from shore. Open to both experienced and new anglers. Learn the basics of a variety of styles of fishing including rod and reel trolling, bottom fishing, fly fishing, clamming and lobster fishing. Students will also learn about tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. Become more aware of local fisheries and fishing impacts. We practice catch and release only. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. 860-535-9362

Game On! (5-8) - Peninsula Fine Arts Center
Inspired by Pfacs upcoming exhibit, Game On! Learn about art in sports throughout the ages! We will begin by making clay vases like ancient Greek Olympic urns, then we will dive into archery painting, and finish by designing and creating our very own gold medals! Campers should bring lunch, drinks and two snacks (due to allergies, please make sure all food is peanut free) PFACs camps are led by one teaching artist per 12-15 students with assistance from Camp Counselors. Lego Robotics Camp - Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy
More than toys, LEGO building blocks are a doorway to mathematics, science and technology. They also are a blast to play with! Students in this camp will explore creative options with blocks, then work with FIRST LEGO League Jr. simple machine kits to explore key scientific models like levers, pulleys and gears. By the end, they will be on their way to FLL Jr. participation in the upcoming competition season, or just have enjoyed great hands‐on opportunities to learn some basic engineering. Passing & Serving Mini Camp P.M. Session - Rice University Tudor Fieldhouse
Combine the two most important skills in volleyball in one session! Campers will work on both skills, getting all-important multiple reps. You can never get enough serving practice, so refresh your skills in this camp along with getting passing repetitions as well. *Note: This mini camp will have different drills from the morning session, so those attending both session will not repeat all of the same drills. 713-348-4795
