Winter 2016 Wednesdays: Engineering - REALM Charter High School
Over this 8 week session, girls will apply math, science, and engineering concepts to build a tetrahedron kite and a mouse trap car. Through an understanding of geometry, structures, aerodynamics, velocity, and more, girls will use multiple construction methods and materials to bring their projects to life! Phun with Phonics - Old Trail School
Phonics provides the groundwork for becoming a successful reader and can be phun!! With the use of 1-2 books per day campers will improve their phonics skills (including: word awareness, syllable awareness, rhyming, sound awareness and comprehension). Camp Apollo - Rock Terrace School
Elementary school youth within the autism spectrum. Activities for campers include coloring and painting, musical games, playground fun, swimming twice a week and local field trips. Quiet time, low lighting and sensory activities will be used as a transition from ESY to camp. Depending on skill levels, campers will be divided into two groups during some activities. To be successful, must be able to follow one/two step directions, ability to manage their behavior and be able to make simple choices.
